A 10 MINUTE SADHANA TO SHIFT YOUR NEURONS
The Embodied
Practice™
Soulful self-exploration, informed by clinical psychology, yoga philosophy and neuroscience. A daily ritual designed to not only give you insight — but to actually change your brain.
OUR SIGNATURE DAILY PRACTICE
Self-exploration that doesn't just illuminate — it rewires.
Most self-exploration leads to insight. You understand yourself better. You know the pattern. You see the story. And then… you keep living it anyway.
The Embodied Practice™ is different because it goes further. Exclusively available inside The Inner Alchemy Foundations™ course, this unique neuroscience-meets-yoga philosophy practice actually changes your nervous system, your brainwave patterns, your neural pathways.
The result?
Insight that doesn't just stay as a nice idea in your head.
It changes your life.
Instead of gone-in-a-flash insight — The Embodied Practice™ brings you real neural transformation.
The state of your autonomic nervous system shapes how you think.
So, instead of venting loops that reinforce the same negative self-talk over and over, this practice helps your body and nervous system feel safe.
When your body feels safe, it opens more neural networks and allows for genuine flexibility in thinking.
Greater flexibility, combined with the other neuron-shifting techniques in this practice, creates insight and new self-talk that actually sticks.
When you start your day in a more regulated state and your insights have created new neural pathways, your impulsive reactions become more intentional responses.
And those automatic and thoughtful responses create a positive ripple throughout your day.
SOAK YOUR NEURONS IN YOGA PHILOSOPHY
Ancient wisdom.
Modern brain.
Yogis felt what science now measures.
For thousands of years, yogis mapped the inner world through direct experience — tracking sensations, breath, and the mind's fluctuations. They called the energy they observed Prana. Modern neuroscience calls it neural signaling. The overlap is striking.
The Embodied Practice™ holds both perspectives with genuine curiosity, offering an intentional interweaving of the two — and invites you to find what resonates for you. No rigid dogma. Just an open invitation to find your dharma at the intersection of science and soul.
The Three Pillars
A thoughtful and practical integration of the heart, mind and body.
Neuroscience
The power of the biology of your nervous system, coherence, and how your neural pathways actually change — harnessed to create real shifts in your brain and body.
Yoga Philosophy
Ancient wisdom about prana, samskaras, living your dharma, and the nature of the mind — through a modern lens.
Clinical Psychology
Evidence-based approaches to trauma, anxiety, and burnout — woven throughout every aspect of your practice.
“The Embodied Practice™ exists because of my own life falling apart for a while.
I needed something that would actually work, not just sound good — so I pulled together the most effective, research-backed strategies I could find, scattered across fields that rarely talk to each other.
Without realizing it, I was integrating them into one method.
I used it on myself first, then brought it into my clinical work — and watched it help my clients in ways that surprised even me.
Now, for the first time, it's available here, outside the treatment room.”
— Naomi Iguchi, PhD, LCP, BCN, RYT500

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Most approaches ask you to reflect or think your way to change — from whatever stressed, looping state you're already in. The Embodied Practice engages your brain, body, and nervous system first. Once your system shifts into a safer, more receptive state, real clarity becomes available. Not forced. Not performed. Actual change at the root — the kind that ripples into your choices, your relationships, and your day without you having to force it.
-
None at all. The Inner Alchemy Foundations Course is designed to give you the full foundation — the science, the philosophy, the practice itself — from the ground up. You don't need to know what Coherence means or what a Samskara is before you start. You'll build that understanding as you go, in a way that's designed to become yours, not just information you've memorized.
-
Not in the way you might be picturing. There are no poses to learn and no physical flexibility required. The Embodied Practice draws on yoga philosophy — how it understands the mind, the self, and lasting change — combined with neuroscience and psychology, applied through a simple daily ritual. You will work with your body in this practice, through breathwork and nervous-system-based techniques, because that's where real, lasting change actually begins. If you want a more physical yoga practice alongside this work, the Studio membership offers Yin and Restorative yoga — soothing, therapeutic styles that encourage your muscles and fascia to release, not the more athletic practice some people expect from "yoga."
-
Yes, but give it a week or two before it’s down to 10 minutes. You're building a new skill, and at first it'll take longer — that's normal and expected. Keep moving toward that 10-minute mark. You'll get there. And once you do, those 10 minutes become one of the most impactful parts of your day.
-
No — and that's intentional. The Embodied Practice was created by a clinical psychologist and neurofeedback provider, and it's informed by the same science used in clinical settings. But this is a self-guided experience, not treatment. Think of it as the most rigorous, research-grounded daily practice you've ever had access to — outside the therapy room, and designed for real life.
-
While some traditions and lineages have used yoga philosophy and ancient yoga texts as a form of, or part of, their religion, the yoga philosophy offered in The Embodied Practice and other NFAI offerings is non-religious. Spiritual aspects of the philosophy will be mentioned at times, but generally the concepts are offered from a practical perspective, through the lens of neuroscience and psychology.

Yes. Dr. Iguchi is not a guru. She's a scientist and a “householder” — someone living a full, modern life — who found these teachings genuinely transformative, for herself and her clients, and offers them to you through the lens of neuroscience and psychology. Sanskrit terms are introduced gradually, defined clearly, and always connected back to something you can feel in your own body and life. You don't need to have specific beliefs. You just need to be curious.
THE MISSION
The world needs
your vibe.
When your nervous system is calm and safe, you show up calmer. Steadier. More present. That changes the people around you — and their calm changes someone else's. On and on, outward, in every direction you can't see.
That's what these ten minutes a day are actually building. Not just a calmer you — a different frequency you carry into every room, every relationship, every ordinary moment of your day.
This practice is small. Daily. Quiet. And enormous, all at once.
